Objective
The goal of this project was to compose a non-literal typographic and interpretive sequence of a haiku written in the 5-7-5 syllable count, presented in an 8-page booklet.

Sketches
With the calm afternoon setting of the poem in mind, I started by sketching ideas that didn't feel rushed or too busy. I wanted this booklet to be something calm where the reader can linger on each page.
Iterations
Color was the biggest issue in my iterations. I worked to find a medium between too soft and too sharp a color. I also tried to minimize how obvious the background lettering is to the reader.
